Dutch ISDE Subsidy Continues in 2025–2026: Strong Support for A++ Heat Pumps
author:
The Dutch government has officially extended the ISDE (Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Saving) program through 2025 and 2026. This initiative continues to play a key role in supporting homeowners and small businesses that choose renewable and energy-efficient heating systems such as air-source, water-source, and ground-source heat pumps.
By providing direct financial support for A++ and higher efficiency products, the ISDE program encourages faster adoption of sustainable technologies, reduces household energy costs, and contributes to the Netherlands’ national target of achieving a climate-neutral economy by 2050.
What Is the ISDE Program?
The ISDE subsidy is a financial incentive from the Dutch government that helps homeowners and businesses switch to renewable energy systems. The program covers a wide range of technologies, including:
Heat pumps (air-source, water-source, hybrid, or ground-source)
Solar thermal systems
Building insulation improvements
Connections to sustainable heat networks
To qualify, all eligible systems must meet strict efficiency standards. For heat pumps, only models with an energy label of A++ or higher are approved for subsidy.
2025–2026 ISDE Subsidy Amounts
The ISDE program will continue offering generous support over the next two years. Current examples of subsidy levels include:
€2,550 for a 4 kW hybrid system
€3,150 for an 8 kW air-source heat pump
€4,425 for a 6 kW ground-source heat pump
Depending on the size and type of the installation, the ISDE can cover between 20% and 30% of the total system cost. This helps households make the transition to renewable heating systems more affordable and accelerates the move away from gas-based heating.
Why the Netherlands Supports Heat Pump Adoption
The Netherlands is one of Europe’s leaders in renewable heating policy. Since 2018, new buildings have been prohibited from connecting to the national gas grid. To achieve national climate targets, the government has made heat pump technology central to its energy strategy.
Heat pumps are vital to meeting the Dutch Climate Agreement goals: a 49% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050. Among available options, ground-source and water-source heat pumps stand out for their exceptional performance and long-term reliability. They provide stable and efficient heating even during colder seasons, making them ideal for the Dutch climate.
How Ground Source and Water Source Heat Pumps Work
Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) and water source heat pumps (WSHPs) both extract heat energy from the environment to provide efficient, renewable heating and cooling.
A ground source system circulates fluid through buried pipes that exchange heat with the earth. Because underground temperatures remain stable around 10–12°C, the system maintains high efficiency year-round.
A water source system draws heat directly from natural or artificial water sources such as wells, lakes, or underground aquifers. It transfers this energy into the building’s heating system, achieving a high coefficient of performance (COP) and stable operation in all seasons.
These technologies can achieve a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) above 5.0, meaning they provide more than five units of heating for every unit of electricity consumed. This outstanding efficiency is why the ISDE program provides its highest subsidies for these systems.
LinkedGo Ground Source Heat Pump – Efficiency Meets Innovation
LinkedGo provides next-generation R290 ground source heat pumps that exceed A++ energy efficiency standards required by the ISDE program. Built with advanced compressor and control technology, these systems combine top performance with sustainability.
Key features include:
Ultra-high efficiency with SCOP above 5.0
Eco-friendly R290 refrigerant with near-zero global warming potential
Quiet and reliable operation for residential and commercial use
Smart control system for temperature optimization and monitoring
Flexible design for new builds or renovation projects
LinkedGo ground source heat pumps deliver stable performance and long-term value, helping homeowners and installers achieve both comfort and energy savings.
Why Choose LinkedGo Water Source Heat Pumps
LinkedGo also specializes in high-efficiency, eco-friendly water source heat pump (WSHP) systems designed for residential and light commercial buildings. These units combine powerful heating capacity, quiet operation, and smart controls to deliver sustainable comfort all year round.
High COP and Energy Savings
LinkedGo WSHPs use advanced inverter compressor technology to achieve a COP up to 6.0. This means users can receive up to six times more heating energy for every unit of electricity consumed, leading to significant cost savings and reduced emissions.
Quiet, Reliable Operation
By using R290 refrigerant and an optimized hydraulic system, LinkedGo WSHPs operate quietly and ensure long service life. They are ideal for homes, offices, hotels, and other environments where comfort and low noise are essential.
High Temperature Output up to 75°C
LinkedGo WSHPs deliver outlet temperatures up to 75°C, making them suitable for both modern and traditional heating systems. They can be integrated with underfloor heating, radiators, or domestic hot water systems, making them an ideal solution for retrofit projects.
Smart Controls
Each WSHP is equipped with intelligent monitoring and control functions. Users can remotely manage temperature settings, monitor system performance in real time, and benefit from automatic fault detection and maintenance alerts. This ensures reliable operation and maximum energy efficiency in every season.
Sustainable by Design
LinkedGo heat pumps meet the latest European ErP and EcoDesign standards. Every system is engineered to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact, supporting global efforts to achieve carbon neutrality.
